Check Your Brand Awareness
November 12th, 2008 Posted in MarketingYesterday we discussed the subject of Brand Awareness, and how it is a major part of the benefits of long term continued advertising, hopefully by now you will be aware of how important we think building good awareness is, and actually what Brand Awareness is.
For some businesses or organisations it is a very easy process to check, and I often wonder how many people know at what kind of level theirs is ? Do you know how visible you are to your potential clients ?
Lets take an easy example, a local business trading in a fairly small town, who’s potential customers may well live in a 5 mile radius from the business base. For our purposes we can use the example as we did yesterday of a local plumbing business, mainly with domestic customers, for the normal household plumbing jobs that may well need doing. So how do you check ? In our opinion very simply, why not go out onto the streets of the local town and ask people ?
You have to very carefully think about what and how you ask the questions, as the way in which you do this will have direct influence on the answers given.
