Leaflet Distribution tips

Published by admin under Marketing

1, Regular Leaflet Distributions will always yield greater returns than one off distributions, this is due to the increased awareness of your business or service. Think of the leaflets that come through your own door, many of the large UK companies will distribute media on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, you may not act on that particular leaflet, but when you need that product or service that company has a greater chance of coming to your mind than others.

2, Offer a real Hook, an offer people would actually benefit from, the better the offer the more chance you will have of leads and possible sales.

3, Make sure that the media that you are distributing looks professional and is of good quality, remember the leaflet that they pick up or see or their floor will be the first impression that they have of your business.

What is a response

Published by admin under Marketing

Potential clients often ask about response rates,  but what is a response ?

A response can happen in many ways, some may lead to direct sales now, some in the weeks coming, and some many months down the line, but direct sales are not the only responses that you will be having, how many people have looked at your media and seen your company name ? Have seen the products that you are offering ? Have talked over the dinner table about ideas that they have seen on your leaflet ?  Visited your website, these are all responses to your campaign.  Not everyone will run into your shop excited that they have received a leaflet and can`t wait to spend thier hard earned money. The public at large now shop 24 hours per day, are they able to make enquiries in the middle of the night ? See your products or services on a bank holiday ? If not, you are missing out.

Contact us

Published by admin under Marketing

When planning your Leaflet Distribution, take great care with the design of your media, you know the message you are trying to put across, but make sure everyone else does, one of the areas that people often forget to take extra care, is on their own contact details.

It is amazing but true, there have been instances in the past when we have received stock for distribution that have not included any contact us information. We now live in a 24 hour world, potential customers could make an enquiry at any time of the day or night, can your business cope with this ?  if not you will be losing out on valuable potential business.

You must make sure that any person  at any time can contact either you or your business and make an enquiry in a way that suits them, if not the potential success of your Leaflet Delivery may be reduced.

Time Sensitive Leaflets

Published by admin under Marketing

Many of the leaflets that we are asked to deliver are promoting events and offers that are time sensitive e.g. all distribution needs to be completed by a fixed date so that customers have full notice of any offer and time to act on it and plan their time.

It is amazing how many customers do not inform us that their leaflet is time sensitive, or arrange leaflet distributions for dated leaflets days before the offer expires. Your direct marketing company is key to the success of your campaign, and needs to be kept in the loop at all times. Make sure that when you place your order for your next distribution, you make it clear on the order form that your publication is time sensitive.

Funny Moment of the Day.

Published by admin under Marketing

We ask all our Team Managers to call in daily to update us on the progress of the contracts that they are managing. It helps us to get a good picture in the office about what the situation is on the ground and provides great peace of mind for our clients.

This morning, we received a call from our Manager in Winchester, who was calling from the train as she was in such a rush to get her jobs done. However, she hadn’t realised that she was unwittingly calling from the ‘Quiet’ carriage, and such was her enthusiasm for her work, her loud voice got her thrown off the train!!

Weather Delays

Published by admin under Marketing

The South West has been battered since Monday by strong winds, high tides, and flooding, and the storm is now spreading north towards Scotland and Northern Ireland. At the time of writing, the parts of the M6 at the Thelwell Viaduct are closed, as is the Dartford Tunnel and the QE2 Crossing. Inevitably, this will cause delays with our transport services, as many roads are closed to high-sided vehicles. Please bear with us during this time; we are still aiming to collect 100% of contracts this week. If you have any further queries, please ring 01395 232868 for further advice.

Rush Hour

Published by admin under Marketing

If you ask anyone at Mailbox Nationwide HQ what our greatest strength is, time and again, the answer invariably involves flexibility, short lead times, and cool heads.

Never was this more apparent than yesterday, when at one o’clock, we received a call to arms like no other. The telephone call went something like this:

Caller: Hello, I need 350,000 leaflets delivered into Central London on Monday, I’ve got about 400 boxes here that I’ve taken off seven pallets so that I can fit them into my office, can you collect from me? Oh and by the way, they all need delivering by Friday, is that OK?

Mailbox Nationwide Call Handler: *Falls to the floor*

After we picked ourselves up, a plan of action was swiftly put into place. After all, we couldn’t very well leave the chap stuck in his office with only 400 boxes of leaflets for company – for all we knew, he’d been trapped in there for days!

Within hours, a lorry was dispatched en route to London (we didn’t envy the poor driver who was going to have to make 400 separate trips to his lorry carrying one box at a time, but needs must). Every single member of staff in the area was roused and put on standby, using coercion techniques that the Russians would be proud of – we now owe a number of our teams copious amounts of Mars Bars, an occupational hazard if you work in Human Resources. Funnily enough, several of our management team have also volunteered to take a ‘business trip’ up to London next week to oversee the teams – their dedication surpasses no other.

So, a successful outcome, and an order turned around in a matter of hours. I think that’s one for the record books!
