Direct Marketing
The term Direct Marketing is a broad reaching term that covers a wide spectrum of marketing mediums.
This advertising medium started in the early 1960`s and was pioneered by some of the very large brands of the time, some promoting financial services that became household names. The basis of the medium is that it puts messages directly into the hands of consumers, and many of the advets will have direct “call-to- action” messages, while this is a great way to try to increase sales in the short term, and a possible way to quantify sales directly from one advertising campaign, there is no way to be able to measure the gainsĀ of public awareness, or to be able to measure the increased sales in theĀ future time period.
