Leaflet Design Changes
October 29th, 2008 Posted in MarketingLots of our clients have ideas or designs for their leaflets but just need a little help over the technical issues of producing a print ready file. We are more than happy to help with this, and it is often just a few minutes work. We have industry standard design software so can usually do what ever is needed. One of the normal problems we see, is where clients have not left an area around the edge of the leaflet that is free of any important information, this width needs to be around 4mm wide, this area of non vital space is called the bleed area, and it is used to allow for trimming of the final media, very often we see files coming through to us which have important details contained in this area, perhaps the start of phone numbers or vital graphics, these would be cut into once the leaflet has been trimmed.
Another area of note is where clients have print ready files, but with perhaps contact details that are out of date, due to change of phone numbers etc, so in its current state the design is useless, we are very often just able to change this area and insert the correct new details, again often done very quickly.
