Leaflet Distribution And Fuel Tax
June 17th, 2008 Posted in MarketingLeaflet Distribution along with everything else is directly affected by the increasing cost of fuel, and as I understand it the tax on fuel is made up of two parts, the Fuel Duty, and the VAT, which when added together make up the total tax on the fuel. If the net price of fuel goes up, the total amount of VAT chargeable goes up inline, and as we have recently had a price increase of around 30% this make a very large increase in revenue for the Government.
So my point is, if the required amount of tax for a gallon of fuel is a given amount, if the net fuel price goes up and obviously the VAT, why does the Fuel Duty stay the same ?
Seems to me the Government are making a very nice little earner, what do you think ?
