Leaflet Distribution Getting Noticed
January 21st, 2009 Posted in MarketingWe talked a couple of days ago about making an impact with your leaflet distribution, something that I would guess everyone is looking to do, some people seem to manage it very easily and some don’t, and to be honest there are some things are are far more appealing and easy to market than others.
The design and content of the leaflet is absolutely paramount and a good amount of thought needs to go into it. Sometimes something that is very unusual may be enough to grab the attention of the householder, the sort of reaction that will make someone pick the leaflet up just our of curiosity, if you follow this route, the design can be as far removed from your product as you wish, in fact I would guess that the content could and should be as wild as you dare.
If you are now wondering what I am talking about, think about finding a folded leaflet on your door mat, perhaps an a4 sized leaflet that has been machine folded, the idea is to have the inside text not visible. The type of business you are trying to market to be honest is not a concern, the main aim is to make the householder see the leaflet, pick it up and open it. This this in mind, all you need to have on the outside is something very striking, perhaps just a picture, something very bright would be ideal, and something that comes to mind is a close up of an orange, so the entire front of the leaflet is the image of the orange and nothing else. I would think that this would be enough for most people to take notice and to pick it up and open it, once they open the leaflet they will then see your marketing message, and that will be the point they will decide if it is of interest to them or not.
Simple really, all it takes is experience. If you would like to talk to one of our team here at Mailbox Nationwide, give us a call on 01395 232868.
