Leaflet Distribution team save little girl !

A mobile leaflet distribution team with senior staff members yesterday found and rescued a young girl of around 10 years of age. Whilst out leading a team, the 2 senior staff members were back checking and infilling of small areas when they found this young lady wondering and in a rather upset state. Quickly realising this young lady was lost these team leaders jumped into action. The two staff members one male and one female, realised instantly that they had to take great care in not to aggravate the situation, and calm the young lady down. It became apparent that she had left school at lunchtime and was heading for a family friends house which was nearby to her school, but had only travelled the route from school on one occasion, and had lost her way.

It was obvious that she needed to be cared for, but in this day and age the care needed to be very carefully considered. The obvious thought would have been to take her to the car and drive back to her school, but obviously, if two adults had been seen taking this upset little girl into their car and onlookers could have viewed a very different situation. At Mailbox Nationwide we carefully pick and train our senior staff, and as always they came up trumps. It was instantly decided to walk the little girl back to school and hand her over the the school staff. Within just a few minutes the trio was back to her school and she was very safely placed back into the care of the receptionist. The most surprising thing of all was that the rescuing two did not even receive a thank you, from the receptionist !

It does make you wonder how safe children are when they are at school, if a 10 year old girl can just wonder out.
