Funny Moment of the Day.

March 12th, 2008 Posted in Marketing | No Comments »

We ask all our Team Managers to call in daily to update us on the progress of the contracts that they are managing. It helps us to get a good picture in the office about what the situation is on the ground and provides great peace of mind for our clients.

This morning, we received a call from our Manager in Winchester, who was calling from the train as she was in such a rush to get her jobs done. However, she hadn’t realised that she was unwittingly calling from the ‘Quiet’ carriage, and such was her enthusiasm for her work, her loud voice got her thrown off the train!!

Weather Delays

March 12th, 2008 Posted in Marketing | No Comments »

The South West has been battered since Monday by strong winds, high tides, and flooding, and the storm is now spreading north towards Scotland and Northern Ireland. At the time of writing, the parts of the M6 at the Thelwell Viaduct are closed, as is the Dartford Tunnel and the QE2 Crossing. Inevitably, this will cause delays with our transport services, as many roads are closed to high-sided vehicles. Please bear with us during this time; we are still aiming to collect 100% of contracts this week. If you have any further queries, please ring 01395 232868 for further advice.

Rush Hour

March 7th, 2008 Posted in Marketing | No Comments »

If you ask anyone at Mailbox Nationwide HQ what our greatest strength is, time and again, the answer invariably involves flexibility, short lead times, and cool heads.

Never was this more apparent than yesterday, when at one o’clock, we received a call to arms like no other. The telephone call went something like this:

Caller: Hello, I need 350,000 leaflets delivered into Central London on Monday, I’ve got about 400 boxes here that I’ve taken off seven pallets so that I can fit them into my office, can you collect from me? Oh and by the way, they all need delivering by Friday, is that OK?

Mothers Day has arrived

March 2nd, 2008 Posted in Marketing | No Comments »

Mothers day as arrived, so lets hope that you planned early enough and targeted your potential customers and tapped into the Mothers Day market, if not, there is still chance to catch the Easter frenzy.

Now Easter is not just about Chocolate, although that is what the big confectioners may tell us ! It is often one of the few days per year when whole families get together, so the marketing possibilities are endless, ranging from the simple Easter egg type product which is targeting an individual, to family outings or meals which are targeting a greater number of potential customers in one hit, leading to a greater spend.

Mothers Day

Mothers Day is almost upon us and by now if your advertising campaign is not well underway, it will possibly be too late.

A good example of a Door to Door Marketing Campaign might have seen 3 distributions over the last few weeks covering the same areas, the best way to increase your potential client base is to improve your market awareness, the more often someone sees your company name the more likely that that person will remember it, and when they need your product or service, give you the maximum chance of responding to you.

Planning your Leaflet Distribution

February 28th, 2008 Posted in Marketing | No Comments »

Make your distribution part of your planning process.

One of the things that our clients compliment us most on at Mailbox Nationwide is our flexibility and capacity to turn orders around at incredibly short lead times.

We have discussed previously the importance of leaflet design and wording. Some of our clients spend months, sometimes years, planning in intricate detail the content of their publication. They will then spend weeks liasing with printers to ensure their material is printed on time, on the best quality paper, and packed away on pallets.

Leaflet Distributors Required

February 27th, 2008 Posted in Marketing | No Comments »

Mailbox Nationwide covers the whole UK and is always looking for reliable Leaflet Distributors to cover our contracts.

You must be honest, reliable and hard working. The job involves lots of walking, so a love of the outdoors would be ideal. Previous  experience would be more than welcome, although it is not required.  You may be working as part of a team or on your own depending on the contract size.

A telephone and transport would be an advantage, as would a willingness to travel to work in other areas.

Please apply on our online recruitment page.

Know Your File Types, part one.

February 19th, 2008 Posted in Marketing | No Comments »

If you are planning a Leaflet Distribution you may well be considering designing and producing your own Leaflet, if so make sure that you are aware and use the best files types for the job, as picking the wrong one may reduce the final quality, or may not be compatible with the printer itself, so all your hard work may be a total waste of time.

Does Size Matter ?

February 15th, 2008 Posted in Marketing | No Comments »

OK, it’s the day after Valentines Day, and with all that romance in the air, I’m left wondering – ‘Does size matter?’ Like the chicken and the egg, it is one of life’s fundamental questions, and for years has left many scratching their…chins. Obviously I’m talking about Leaflet Distribution… Well, what did you think I meant?!
